- Download and install on your windows machineXen Center and VMconverter
- Place the XenCitrix image you want to convert on your Xen Citrix server. – This step can be skipped if the Xen image is already on your Xen Server.
- After powering up your Windows Citrix Xen Center, convert it using VMware converter; a shared folder is needed for this.
It is has been a challenge for me to install Centos5.5 using the default Centos templates XenServer provides. In fact I had no luck at all when it comes for the template to understand what type of DVD drive I am using. However the solution to this comes from an unexpected template and that is the Windows2003 template. This small how to refers to an install using the local to the XenServer DVD drive. This is not a network install. For some reason a network install of a guest Operating System on XenServer appears to be a somewhat complicated task compared to the streamlined method VMWare ESX uses. I will post the how to when I figure it out. In the meantime below is the solution on how to get around the CentOS template issue.
